Agreement
These terms apply when your business signs up for a trial or subscription to Gutdgest. By creating an account, the person signing up confirms they can accept these terms for the business.
What Gutdgest provides
Gutdgest is software for keeping food-safety records: hygiene checklists, temperature logs, allergen and date labels, supplier records, staff training records, an AI Kitchen Inspector and audit packs.
Your responsibility for food safety
- Your business remains responsible for food safety, hygiene and licensing at every kitchen, including FSSAI registration or licences where they apply.
- Gutdgest does not issue licences, certificates or inspection results, and using it does not guarantee that a kitchen will pass an inspection or audit.
- Temperature limits, checklists, shelf lives and corrective actions are set by your business. Templates are a starting point and should be checked against your own food-safety plan.
Allergen labels
Allergen labels are generated from recipes your kitchen enters. A named person in your business must confirm each recipe before labels are printed. Your business is responsible for the accuracy of recipes, ingredients, allergen information and labels.
AI Kitchen Inspector
The AI Kitchen Inspector flags possible hygiene issues in photos and logs. It can miss issues and can flag things that are not issues. Flags are suggestions for a manager to review. Decisions about food safety are made by your team.
Accounts and access
- Keep login details and staff PINs private, and remove access for people who leave your business.
- Account owners decide who can see which records, including confidential health records.
- Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been accessed without permission.
Acceptable use
- Do not upload content you do not have the right to use, or content unrelated to running your kitchens.
- Do not try to break, overload, copy or reverse engineer the service.
- Do not use Gutdgest to create false records, back-date entries to mislead an inspector, or hide food-safety failures.
Trial, plans and payment
- The free trial lasts 30 days and includes all features for one kitchen. No payment is taken during the trial.
- Plans are priced per kitchen per month, billed monthly or yearly in advance.
- Sensors and gateways are sold or rented separately under the terms shown at the time of order.
- If a payment fails, we will remind you before limiting access. Your records are not deleted because of a late payment.
Your data
Your business owns its kitchen records, photos and staff data. You can export them at any time while your account is active and for 90 days after it closes. How we handle this data is described in the Privacy Policy.
Service availability
We aim to keep Gutdgest available at all times and give notice of planned maintenance. Checklists and manual logs can be completed offline and sync when the device reconnects, and sensors store readings during connection drops.
Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees your business paid in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses, or for losses caused by food-safety decisions made by your business.
Ending the agreement
You can cancel at any time from your account or by contacting us. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, after notice where reasonable. Refunds are covered in the Refund and Cancellation policy.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell account owners by email before the change takes effect.
